What My Kids Love Now

House Rules

No computer during the week except if it is school related. Our computer (iMac) had great parental controls and we use them to limit time, limit access to certain types of sites, look at the internet history, use limited email (we control who the emails are send to and received from). TV off during meals.

When the Kids Are Asleep…

I enjoy surfing the net. I use it to shop and research, find recipes, email, manage Book Club, etc. I enjoy watching Bones, Cold Case, Survivor, Amazing Race, Pushing Daisies... I also love to read. That is a constant in our house....books are everywhere!

My Biggest Challenge Is:

Dealing with the hard core commercialism on TV, especially those geared towards children. The amount of sex and violence on TV these days. It has become too acceptable to mainstream society.
