What My Kids Love Now
My son has a tremendous imagination so he's always asking for a puppet show or playing restaurant, or pushing over chairs and pretending they're bulldozers. On TV, we're fans of Imagination Movers.
House Rules
If you can afford to have Tivo or a DVR, or OnDemand, it's a lifesaver. You record a show (or call one up On Demand) and it limits them to half an hour.
When the Kids Are Asleep…
I have to confess we record Jon Stewart's Daily Show and the Colbert Report to watch when nothing else enticing is on.

Setting Computer Limits Tips
Your Comments:The computer can be a tricky one. If we're watching YouTube videos (the musical numbers from Singin in the Rain are a favorite of my 4 year old) I tell him in advance that we'll watch 4 videos. If he's playing a Little Einstein game, I warn him "one more time." That way it gives him a certain amount of control by knowing when it's time to stop.
