What’s your school’s cell phone policy?

At my school, cellphones/iPods/electronics are NOT permitted under any circumstances while in any school uniform (sports, 'number ones', and normal school uniform). If a student is caught on a bus/in town/or even walking home with a cell phone, a teacher may confiscate it, and keep it for: 1st offence-2 weeks 2nd offence- 4 weeks 3rd offence- 1 term. These confiscation periods last throughout all holidays, including December holidays. I personally think this is stupid, and students should at least be allowed before and after school. It is completely irresponsible of the school confiscating the phones during holidays, as students may have urgent need for them. Also very hypocritical as teachers text during classes, and even make phone calls!
