What My Kids Love Now
We just saw "UP" as a family and loved it! Peyton is reading "IQ." Carter is reading "Ink Death," the final in the "Ink Heart" series, but both kids have complained about bad language.
House Rules
We have no TV right now (more of a financial decision, but it's forced me to be more creative as a parent in keeping kids busy!). We limit video to 1 hour per day. They get that AFTER daily chore.
When the Kids Are Asleep…
I love movies, and I love surfing the Internet. I've become a Facebook freak and have even started blogging, though I can't imagine why anyone would want to read any of it. :)

Inappropriate Ads During Sports: No Win for Kids
Your Comments:I agree that commercials are our main concerns these days when our kids watch television. The overtly sexual ads are what concern me the most. Recently, I saw one with two teenagers stripping down to their under garments and then jumping into the ocean. I do talk to my kids about these ads when they catch us off guard, but it would be so nice to be able to leave the room to get some popcorn during a commercial without having to worry about what my kids will see in the 3 minutes I'm gone. The ads have gotten out of hand for regular television during the daytime and early evening when kids are watching.
