It's pretty good, though it inevitably comes short of the impossible standards it sets for itself.

What I love now
I am a huge movie adict, especially American classics of the 40s and 50s, and New Hollywood films of the 70s and early 80s. I also like several foriegn films. My favorites include The Grapes of Wrath, Fantasia, Barry Lyndon, La Jetee, and Sunset Blvd.
My Parents’ House Rules
I guess my parents let me watch just about anything, though I don't have the tastes most teenage boys my age do. I prefer slow-moving and thoughtful classics to bloody and violent horror movies.

How do you manage your kids' pop culture obsession?
Your Comments:I'm 15 right now and I agree, just ignore it and the obsession goes away. For example, I used to love Star Wars, now I despise it. How about, as they get older, you try and get them interested in more intellectual stuff? They could get obseesed over something that makes them smarter, so both sides are happy.
