It's a good movie. Sad, uplifting, but not true to life. It may be based on a true story, but it isn't close to what really happened.

What I love now
House, Ellen Hopkins, Living Dead Girl, Juno, really any movie with Ellen Page, The Lolita Effect, learning about everything, reading everything.
My Parents’ House Rules
I can watch R-rated films if they aren't rated so for excessive sexuality/ excessive violence. My parents know teens swear so they say it's ok as long as it isn't around adults or younger kids.

DVD: Spirited Away
I rate this titleonand give it:]
I don't think it necessarily needs to be 11. Just know your kid. Some scenes are a little scary, but more or less in a Harry Potter 1 sort of way. It is fantasy. The main character triumphs and ...

Music: "Thinking of You" (CD single)
I rate this titleonand give itDecent.
Not one of my prefered songs by Katy Perry but it is ok. No lines containing offensive material really stuck in my mind, if there were any at all.

Music: Folie à Deux
I rate this titleonand give itDear Adult Contributer who first commented:
Times change. Sometimes music happens that never should've disco??. Sadly enough, falloutboy has gone down hill since From Under the Cork Tree. Infinity on High was decent with several good songs. ...

Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Ugh. Made me so mad. Superduperawesome book but the characters that were killed made me mad. All but 3 characters I liked were killed. Suspenseful, with a lot of arguments, magical violence, some ...

TV: iCarly
I rate this titleonand give itCheesy but fun.
I love Socko [and his pun family Rob, Tie-ler, and so on].

Book: Does My Head Look Big in This?
I rate this titleonand give itGreat story.
I really enjoyed reading it. I liked that Amal developed pride for her hijab rather than taking it off as soon as she left school. Many contemporary books I've read about Muslim teens, they usually ...

TV: The Secret Life of the American Teenager
I rate this titleonand give itOk if kids are old enough to understand the different aspects.
There is no on-screen drug/alcohol abuse and I don't think it is even mentioned frequently. The sex is implied but only sometimes on screen. The plot is more accurate than some teen pregnancy media ...

TV: House
I rate this titleiffyand give itHouse = Love.
The sex and violence terribly extreme [how is a medical procedure violent? or does violence equal any blood?]. There are occasionally strippers/sexual fantasies, but they last a few minutes and don't ...

Book: Glass
I rate this titleonand give itAwesome.
You have to read Crank first but both books are amazing. I really feel for Kristina and understand drug addiction from the shoes of the addict a lot better now.

Smoking in the Media Tips
Your Comments:I am 14. I know the media influences me but seriously. Its the concept you always give to your kids: if they jump off a bridge would you do it? The only thing is that with smoking its a 30+ year fall. Most of the time anyway. I mean, OMggGZzzZZz robert pattinson smoKes lyk lets all du itt nowW!! Or.. britTney shaVed her hed, letz all du ittt!! Same logic. No, just no. Subliminal messages maybe, but again it is the blame celebrities card. Teens are more likely to start smoking if parents or close peers/family do. Not just because some celebrity does. We are stupid and impressionable but this is insulting.

25 Things We Love About Twilight
Your Comments:1. The fact there are books. The movie = laaame. 2. Bella is female but more sexual than Edward. The male isn't stereotyped as the one to pressure, but rather abstains. 3. Bella doesn't act ashamed about her sexual desire. 4. When Bella was pregnant, it wasn't a case of pro-Life no matter what. She was given a CHOICE and chose to keep the baby. I don't think it necessarily portrays life-only qualities that some people are freaking out over. 5. I love Bella's semi-sarcastic voice. 6. Billy Black ftw. 7. Leah Clearwater. 8. Carlisle is an attractive one. 9. Not all vampires have extra powers, making them seem more individual. 10. Emotions are well-described. Why I don't like twilight: 1. Lots of plot flaws. 2. A degree of inaccuracy in portrayal of Quileutes. 3. Bella has four guys who really want her. She is instantly loved. Edward was behaving strangly at first because he secretly loves her? It sounds a little too perfect to me. 4. Sparkly vampires? 5. Sparkly VAMPIRES? 6. Nosferatu is ashamed because of them. 7. The way people are insanely obsessed. You know its out of hand when the actor must tell everyone: I AM NOT EDWARD CULLEN. 8. SPARKLY VAMPIRES?! 9. The person Jacob imprinted on was too convenient like the majority of the plot. 10. It is so predictable.
