Uhhh.... you people do realize this is a comedy, right? It's got some genuinely creepy moments sure, but for the most part, it's over-the-top ridiculousness. Now, it's not great, but ...

Gossip Girl Threesome Adds Up to New Low
Your Comments:Here's an idea: don't try to find a "lesson." If that kind of sexual activity bothers you that much, explain that to your kid. Tell him why it's a bad thing (in your eyes) and amke sure he understands the repurcussions it would have in real life. When in doubt go with the "you know that's not what it's really like, right?" talk.

Impact of Media Violence Tips
Your Comments:I constantly read about how back in the 50's, 60's, and into the 80's, if a kid was caught watching, reading or listening to something thier parents didn't want them to, they would be spanked, splapped, grounded, or any combination of the three. Now, a parent will complain to the TV station, publisher, or music distributor. There is a middle ground here. If you don't like kid exposed to a certain media, tell thme and explain why. Let them know what your problem is with it. Turn off the TV, talk with your kids, and be a goddamn parent.

Is Movie Marketing Targeting Kids Too Young?
Your Comments:Star Trek? Seriously? Kids in the 60's watched Star Trek, and that generation seemed to turn out fine. Why wasn't this explored with The Dark Knight? NOT a kid's movie, and yet it had every single marketing gimmick used to target kids. Transformers and GI Joe Are BOTH based off toylines. Not cartoons, not comic books, the toys themselves. How can you not expect this type of marketing? It's like asking Lucasfilm to stop making Star Wars video games, it's not gonna happen. But Star Trek? In all likleyhood, any references to drugs, alchohol, or sex will go right over kids' heads. They won't even understand, or care about, it until they get older. That's what it was like with me. Even the violence. Yeah, I'm so worried that the kids of america will give each other vulcan neck pinches and shoot each other with phasers. Get real people. There are exceptions, like The Dark Knight. The only reason that film got that kind of marketing is because the companies didn't know, or care, about the content of the film. They just know from the past the magical equasion: Batman=Money. But COME ON! STAR TREK?!?!?!? You're worried about STAR TREK? I'm done. Have a nice falcon day.

Should "Sexting" Be Illegal?
Your Comments:In reference to mvarrin's comment. THANK YOU! That's another point I should have made. People, start taking responsibility for your own damn kids. Stop dumping all this BS on the law and expect them to do your parenting for you.

Should "Sexting" Be Illegal?
Your Comments:This law is, for lack of a better term, retarded. Let me put up a situation for you. The year is 1975. Cell phones do not exist. One night, a boyfriend and girlfriend are both home alone. They decide to call each other and start thier own little "sex talk" line. The thing escalates. One drives over to the other's house, and they have sex. They see each other naked, and the result is (READ: almost) the same as if they "hook up" online or through texting. Would those kids in 1975 be charged as sex offenders? No. Should the same stupid teen couple in 2009 be charged as sex offenders? No. That's my two cents. I'm probably going to be banned from this site for saying this, and I honestly won't miss it.

When Good Role Models Go Bad
Your Comments:I couldn't agree more. I have never looked up to a celebrity. As a young lad, my hero was Batman, not Michael Keaton or Adam West, Batman, the character. As I got older, I looked up to my Uncle, and now, not anyone really, I don't feel I need to be like anyone, now, I fell I need to establish my own identity. My point is, we can't look up to celebrities, what we see of them isn't who they really are, and most of the time, who they really are isn't pretty.

When Good Role Models Go Bad
Your Comments:I have had enough. Think about this: if whomever took that photo of Phelps had just kept his mouth shut, no one would know about his smoking marijuana. No one would care, he would be the same over-hyped, over-exposed athelete he was before. Same thing goes for anyone else mentioned. If the media would just leave celebrities the fraggle alone, no one would know about, care about, or be affected by these scandals. Nuff Said.
