What Parents Need to Know
About Design-Girls
Parents need to know that this site is a mom-owned business inspired by a daughter's love of fashion. The idea is to encourage girls to be creative and design their own outfits, which is fun and easy to do. But while mixing and matching is free, to actually get the clothes, girls must persuade their parents to buy each piece for about $20 to $30.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the difference between a Web site for play and one for purchase. This site may blur the line between creativity and commerce a bit too much for girls on the younger end of its target audience to distinguish. Kids: Can you create something here and have fun without buying anything? Why or why not?
