Parents need to know that topics on this wonderful advice and information site include alcohol abuse, eating disorders, and celebrity drug abuse as well as issues related to puberty and dating. There's a lot of helpful information and advice for tweens and teens about school, friends, family, emotions, and money. Every game teaches kids about something from saving money to handling a tough friend. There's no advertising on the site.
Families can talk about some of the topics raised on the site. Do you want a boyfriend or girlfriend? Why or why not? What would you do if you had a million dollars? What was your most embarrassing moment at school? If you could be any other age, what would it be?

Hosted by PBS, IT'S MY LIFE is the place to go to get straight-up advice and information that tweens are looking for. It's divided into clear categories that have articles on the topic plus relevant games, suggestions for offline activities, videos, and information on where to get help. Some of the games are a little preachy but others are super, such as challenging kids to get around school without being late for class. (Keep an eye out for bullies and avoid the spot where the guy just barfed.) The "Body" section is mostly about puberty, eating disorders, and alcohol abuse. It covers everything from a girl's first period to dealing with acne. "Emotions" offers articles on dealing with death, depression, and anger. The "Advice" area features all kinds of questions, from dating to health. The "Dating" ones focus on kissing and flirting and crushes and go no further. Questions are answered by both teen mentors and qualified adult experts. If you click on the "Celebs" tab, you'll see brief interviews where celebrities reveal their thoughts about growing up and what they had to go through when they were kids. There are also videos where kids discuss all kinds of topics.
