Parent and Kid Reviews
What's It About?
KIKIMAG.COM provides a peek inside a new magazine that could be the Project Runway for the Hannah Montana set. From the Studio discusses fabric, designers, and art schools; Art Bin offers drawing and sewing tips; World Beat tours the fashion capitals of the world. The idea is to introduce tweens to the world of fashion through a lens of creativity and artistry.
Is It Any Good?
The magazine looks to be a lot of fun for tweens -- and something that parents can get behind. Unfortunately, Kikimag.com is just a teaser for what's in the magazine, and readers won't actually learn anything on the site itself.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about how tweens make fashion decisions. Do they choose clothes that express their personal style? Or ones that help them fit in or impress their peers? Kids, whose personal style do you admire, and why?
