I've never been on, but I think this is an unfar review. Commonsense, would you give iTunes a bad rating just because it sells some explicit songs? Of course not. So why a site like this, where it seems you don't even have to buy the videos?

What Parents Need to Know
About PluggedIn
Parents need to know that this Will Smith-backed site has thousands of high-quality music videos. They're the "clean" versions, but you may run across some that contain mild swearing, sexual images, and lyrics that celebrate drug use and violence. A social networking feature lets teens create playlists, become "fans" of other users (some of whom have risqué photos), and post comments (it's against the rules to post anything obscene, but although the posts mostly stay clean, it's unclear whether or not they're moderated). The terms of use say that users 13-18 need parental permission to register, but there's no step at registration that requires it. There are a lot of links to outside sites that sell videos, CDs, and concert tickets. Users have to download a media player to watch the videos.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about music videos in general and how powerful they are at getting the message of a song across. Why do some videos seem to not have anything to do with the actual lyrics? Why do artists feel they need to use sex or violence in a video to make it more popular? Do you think that works?
