What's it about?
Space Day, annually held the first Thursday in May, is an international campaign to increase student knowledge of space and to promote math and science education. It's jointly sponsored by more than 75 organizations, including the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. Company sponsors include Lockheed-Martin and Time Warner. The companion Web site offers a galaxy of opportunities. If you're up to the challenge, why not select a class project? Your team could win national recognition. There are many downloadables, too: posters, bookmarks, and even a cutout Space Shuttle. The games are in the "Students" section under "Mission Fun."
