What Parents Need to Know
About Ty
Parents need to know that if kids would like to keep an online inventory of the Beanies they have and Beanies they desire, then this is their site. You'll have to register (free) to use this feature, plus click though several screens of terms and conditions legalese before you are validated and can start putting Patty Platypus and Scorch the Dragon on your list. There's an online store, but not much is for sale there, since most Beanie buying is done through retailers. You will be directed to the nearest one. There's a Beanie Babies Official Club, too, and the site offers additional features to its members.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the Beanie Babies craze. Why do you think Beanie Babies are so popular? Are they still as popular as they used to be? Why do some people spend hundreds of dollars on one "rare" Beanie? What's a reasonable amount of Beanies to own?
