What's It About?
Biz Kid$ introduces and reinforces kids' understanding of money management and business through engaging videos, challenging games, and resources like budget worksheets and business plans. There is also an area for teachers who are interested in using Biz Kid$ in the classroom. Parents will want to check out the organized activities section for ideas to expand on what kids are learning.
Is It Any Good?
BIZ KID$ is a fantastic way for kids to learn the importance of money management, economics, and business smarts. The site is a companion to the PBS series, and all episodes are available for convenient online viewing. Hosted by energetic youths (think Zoom!), the episodes make learning about finance fun. Hip music and fast cuts keep things moving along at a brisk pace, and there are fresh parodies such as a take on the popular television show 24 and Donald "Rump." Best of all are the stories featuring real kids and their financial success stories. This level of interactivity personalizes the abstract concept of money, giving kids confidence and knowledge to make wise financial decisions now and through adulthood.
