What to talk about

Talk to your kids
  • Families can talk about real money vs. the concept of virtual money. Does spending virtual money make you more savvy about your own real money?
  • Families can also talk about the elements that make this a fun site -- rather than a dry one -- for learning about money management and business acumen.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

BIZKIDS is a fantastic way for kids to learn the importance of money management, economics, and business smarts. The site is a companion to the PBS series, and all episodes are available for convenient online viewing. Hosted by energetic youths (think Zoom!), the episodes make learning about finance fun. Hip music and fast cuts keep things moving along at a brisk pace, and there are fresh parodies such as a take on the popular television show 24 and Donald "Rump." Best of all are the stories featuring real kids and their financial success stories. This level of interactivity personalizes the abstract concept of money, giving kids confidence and knowledge to make wise financial decisions now and through adulthood.
