Learning a language can truly change your life and this app helps one do so. There are over thirty languages and they are constantly updating the app to make the lessons better and better. I am truly a changed person because of the FREE completely FREE language learning resources that this app offers to help create a more unified and rich world. Duolingo opens doors to discovery of new places, cultures, and even oneself. The limits of your language are the limits of your world. This is true. Duolingo gives one the ability to open one's mind to the vastness of humanity and this beautiful Earth which we thrive upon. Duolingo allows for anyone to explore their library of world and language knowledge. Every time I come off the app, I come off knowing more than when I entered. Resources like Duolingo need to be treasured. I am a different person since I embarked on the journey of learning Norwegian. Duolingo was the first tool I used to open a door to learning this language. From then, all I did was discover more and more each day using many resources. I think I have changed for the better. I am more aware of the world around me. I can know read, write, and understand Norwegian and to a slightly less ability the other Scandinavian languages. I can watch and read Nordic movies and literature. A whole NEW world has been opened up to me with the help of Duolingo. I have a new and different understanding of the world. All I want to do is learn more about it. I want to learn MORE LANGUAGES and MORE information about society and humans living in different regions. I am more CURIOUS and FASCINATED by foreign topics and things. I am having Duolingo be 8+ not because there is anything bad in it (There isn't) because the questions are a bit complicated for younger children. It won't make you fluent, but it is truly one of the best tools out there for learning a language. If paired with other resources and especially immersion, Duolingo can aid in the journey to fluency quite well. I am excited for the future of this app. I hope that if you chose to download it, you may open your eyes to the amazingness of the world. Duolingo will truly help you in becoming a deeper person. This is a really fun and educational app/website. I learn french (and in school) and Spanish (first time)

Great site for beginners

Very useful and teaches a wide variety of languages. Some of the notifications are a bit pushy, but you can turn them off, like all apps, on your phones settings

Okay, so, make sure NOBODY knows this. That said, if you hover the arow over the words, it says them in english below. Now of course you wanna keep this secret and not tell your parents. But, thank me later.

Pretty great. I'm learning a language for fun and it's been pretty helpful, though sometimes it teaches me in a kind of strange order. It also is a little bit complicated, not recommended for younger kids. Also the owl is super cute!

Really as soon as you start learning another language its fine, 3 stars because you need to earn hearts if you don't pay and if you run out well... you have to spend alot of time earning more. Apart from that try to keep your streak trust me I learnt 225 new words in 3 months by practicing every day!

It’s great for learning a new language for beginners

I used to really like this app, I was (and still am) learning French it was so fun and I was learning a lot but one day duolingo got a new look, this new look made this game so bad to use I HATE the new look so much i lost all of my motivation and plus it deleted all of my progress.
