Parents need to know that there is a substantial amount of violence in the form of war imagery, car crashes, and more. While the violence is moderated, and there are some games included for mash-up that would certainly suit younger users, this is definitely a activity for older kids.
What's it about?
This site takes the now common practice of music mash-ups,
which mix different songs together to create an entirely new mix, and applies
it to video games,
allowing users to remix cut scenes, add music, and create something altogether new and
exciting. These new videos can then be
posted on the site for friends to see and comment on, or they can be shared and
embedded through a variety of services including Facebook, WordPress, Piczo, and
many more.
Is it any good?
While some may wonder who or why someone would spend the time to do
this, the mash-up is yet another innovative outlet for the creativity of
gamers, and the results can often have substantial artistic value in their own
right. In addition, the site features a strong social element, allowing fellow
users to comment and rate the videos.
Mashade is not easy, as exhibited by the high percentage of
amateurish videos on the site, but the controls are fairly intuitive and there
are a wide range of effects, clips, music, and more to use. When done right, the
results can make one feel as if they are watching (or making) a movie or short
video, and for hardcore fans, bring new appreciation to a favorite game or
scene, and -- take it from experience -- it can be really, really fun and addictive.
The practice of mashing has its detractors, but seeing the videos made on this
site makes it difficult not to simply marvel at the ability of sites like this
to support and encourage new directions of freedom and creativity.

Great for anyone who loves games or creating cool videos.
I love this site. It allows you to create great game trailers and even mash a few games together. It doesn't have to many games yet but I'm sure that they'll add more. The video editor is great and easy to use and there are great video clips and music at your disposal. Anything you make looks great. If you love video games you should try this out hen you aren't playing.
