Way too SKEEVY!
A place where my daughter can go and "sell" photos of herself to make "Lunch Money", and then use that "Lunch Money" to buy "gifts" such as feathers, handcuffs, one night stands and send those "gifts" to other MYB members. WAY TOO SKEEVY!

.
okay, myyearbook isn't that bad. I MADE ONE WHEN I WAS 9. I think it's a lot like facebook basically, the only thing is that it might have a little more bad stuff in it, I only really go on now to donate to causes (which is actually a great part of myyearbook, you can use your virtual money to donate to real-life charities). There are some messed up people on there, but aslong as you don't talk to people you don't know you're good.

My son was on it and he was looking at 13 yr old girls with pics of them in bra's! 13! He is 12 and never allowed on this site again. Where are these girls father? I would kill one of my girls if they did this crap! And of course you can avoid the nasty stuff, but when kids are that age and its there its going to be looked at either by them selves or with their friends. Its to tempting. Go to face book if you want to chat with friends or better yet go see them!

Great for an adult!
My friend used to use this site, but her mom made her quit due to questionable content.

It all depends on how you handle your children.
I believe media currently does mature teenagers faster than you can begin to even fathom. A site such as this conveys that. This site is suggestive, blame it on the hormones. This site has safety features that are reasonably accessible, doesn't mean that you can't be traumatized by a pervy tween or a pedo. Still, this site burns up meaningless time and is ingenious. I spend time on it myself as a 16 year old female and enjoy every moment of it. But, I do want to express this, if you don't recognize the behavior expressed on your teen's profile then obviously you don't know your own kid. Identity is being found during these years and without a positive and accepting support system, you will be horrified by what your spawn does, says, or thinks. So yes, instead of scaring your kids about sex, be open about it and don't make them ashamed to the point that they'll start sneaking around. True, this generation of kids are hard to handle, but the parents are just as much to blame. As I observed, each generation is getting more worse, and this site reflects that. On the other hand, not to be any more than modest, but there are others on the site like myself that enjoy decent conversations and innocent flirting. This site is worth keeping, as long as parents are a bit more involved if the teen is under 15. And to address a common concern, "I trust my child, just no one else," Remember, there are safety features and as long as they don't give out personal identification details, he/she is safe. All you have to worry about are those extreme pedos that try tracing IP addresses and try finding out where you live from there.

Wouldn't recommended for any young child
Hate it. Recently found out my tween signed up for this site. Don't like it at all. Why would a 27 year old friend a 12 year old. I deleted her account.

Not suitable for anyone under 21...and iffy for anyone older
This site is not just for teens! Many 'teens' don't post their real age and are, therefor, exposed to some disgusting photos and ideas. The new video chat is scary. Think of this site as a Craig's list for pedophiles, people into S+M, and cougars of both genders! Keep kids off!

a bogus anonymous message appeared in my email account - when I clicked on it, it was from - my yearbook - - the message had a place to click to - block emai - - when I clicked on -block email - ; the screen immediately linked to their webpage! and when I tried to get into the site to - unsubscribe - it signed me up as a memberwith no way to escape. Who should this unethical behavior be reported to? also, my 14 year old daughter previously was ensnared by this nefarious site and was soon receiving messages from a very creepy pedophilic man who lied about his age. This is a darn scary website.

i think that myyearbook is a place for teens and only teens to meet other teens like them and find people to communicate with. if some teens want to post sex pictures on there then its their fault and there giving there body away on the internet!!!! I had Myyearbook for a while. It's pretty much known as an easy "pick-up site". I see ALOT of guys asking for dirty pictures and things to very young girls. I read the messages these 18-30 year old men were sending my 13 year old niece and made her delete her account.

good passtime for 17 and up should be blocked for anyone younger
im nearing nineteen and have had a myyearbook account for four years, i use the site in an attempt to meet new females and make some friends in any event i use it to pass time, alot of it is very inappropriate for anyone under the age of eighteen all the guys seem to be after cyber sex and dirty pictures regardless of the age, i hate to say it but there are LOTS of whores on the site legal and not many females lie about they're age i had some terrible run in's where i had flirted for months with girls to later find them to be 12-15 and its defiantly a huge issue when that happens because im held responsible. i believe the best thing this site could have is that it needs to be programed with a valid license ID so that it is proven whom is whom there cant be fake accounts and no more lying about age. i hate to say this but if your complaining about naughty messages to your child better check his/her profile and messages first because they welcomed it

Open your eyes and use your head!
I have an account on MyYearbook and I haven't had a problem with it. At the end of the day, you choose what you put on your profile, you post yourself half naked, OF COURSE you're going to get male attention and of course it will be for sexual reasons. Furthermore, if you receive a message that you consider inappropriate, just delete it, you don't have to reply and enagage with that person. You can also block them to prevent it from happening again. Using this site just requires a little common sense and dignity, it's a lot more open than its neighbours such as facebook, so just be a bit more aware of what you put on and who can see it. I'm sick of parents complaining about what is essentially their own child's stupidity. I recommend this site for 15+ because younger teens crave flattery and don't have the sense to say no or just ignore provocative requests. I know this because I'm 16 and even now a smile comes to my face if someone likes my profile picture. This site can be a lot of fun when you use it properly, yes you can buy other people's photos but its just a bit of fun with virtual money, it's not like you're actually owned by that person. Yes you can rate people but you have to submit a picture for that to occur. If the site is really such a huge issue, delete your account and move on to something else because there are people (such as myself) who enjoy this site and have the ability to control themselves and what they say and do on it. I sincerely hope this has made certain people rethink their opinions because this site really isn't as awful as it's portrayed to be. Laura :)

I'm 17 and I've had one of these for quite awhile. I like to used this page to express myself if i am upset(stuff i wouldn't want to put on Facebook for my family to view) of use to to meet the people in my area. But this place can be a VERY sexually charged, i would not want someone under the age of 16 on this page. Their is alot of sexting, hooking up, and talking dirty. This is not a place for teens but i think its just apart of teenage life. Their are a few cool things on this page though, You can take your virtual cash and donate it, it then goes to real life charties. and their are some pretty fun games. all around i think 16+ This is okay but not under that,,
