Helpful for music discovery, but use caution.
Pandora is a wonderful way to discover new music, and can be completely tailored to one's music tastes. As soon as you create an account, however, be sure to turn on the explicit content filter (I found this out the hard way). I normally look up the lyrics to the songs before I listen to them now, and skip the iffy ones since the filter does not block everything.

Great way to broaden musical horizons
I've discovered so many great bands this way, and you can put a content filter on it that will blur out the really bad words. The mildly bad ones might still pop through.

Contains songs for all ages and music genres.
Every time I get on the computer I log on to Pandora to listen to my favorite music (I'm even listening right now! Ha ha!) : everything from Eminem to Disney Songs. You can easily change your settings to block songs with explicit content if you have young children or just don't want to hear it. Even though the site only allows the allotted 40 hours a month, a payment can be made for unlimited music as well as none of the somewhat annoying adds every few songs or when you change stations.

Wonderful radio!
I love it. Pandora radio introduced me to all kinds of new music. Let me explain - you make a "station" with an artist or song you like. Songs that are similar will play. I discovered Tori Amos through Pandora. And to think, I used to think Taylor Swift was a great singer!

The Best Radio Ever
Pandora is a wonderful site. In fact I am listening to it as I write this review. I just love listening to any type of music I am in the mood for. If I feel relaxed and want to listen to classical, I go to classical station. If I am really excited and want rock, I go to one of my rock stations. All of the issues I have highlighted below are all subject to the stations you have and the settings you have chosen. If you or your child is listening to a Lil Jon station or some other nasty rapper, you are certain to get many inappropriate songs. If you are listening to a classical station then you will not get anything inappropriate. The other thing to look out for is it will play explicit rather than clean songs UNLESS you have a certain setting on. The only problem that I have, which is just an opinion, is that I think there are too many advertisements. You can get rid of them if you pay to upgrade to Pandora One which I am not willing to do. Overall this is a great site that really depends on what stations you have to determine whether it is appropriate or not.

I love Pandora because you can type in a artist you really like for example Lady Gaga and you get to hear Lady Gaga songs plus other songs by other artists. Pandora rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

awesome for ages 7 and beyond
I love it it is so cool. I have found some very good music on pandora radio. you should sooo go to it! And if you people are worried about inappropriate stuff it only depends on what your listing to and if you listen you the radio you probably have heard a lot of the dirty songs. my dad recommended to me, I had never heard of it before he told me, and now it is one of my favorite sites!

There can be some iffy stuff, but depending on your settings/stations, you should be safe from it!
Well, I absolutely love Pandora. However, depending on your settings and stations people can be exposed to music where people: talk about sexual stuff, cuss, encourage drinking/drugs, etc. BUT you can change that! I mean if you put on a Disney station, there shouldn't be any inappropriate things and you can change the settings (my account then explicit content...) to block that stuff.
ALSO: if you want like extremely random songs (varying from new music to Frank Sinatra) type in Party in the USA :D Yeah, that's what I thought too, but it works! :D

Good, but can be innapropriate
It's okay, I like how you can search for songs, but sometimes I don't like it how after you type in a song, the rest are in a radio format so you can't choose them. Depending on the song you hear, it could include sexual/drug references, profane, and/or violence. So it's probably a good idea to go onto Pandora with you kids so you know what they're listening to, because it could be as innocent as a Disney song or as dirty as a 50 Cent song.
