What Parents Need to Know
About Tales 4 Tomorrow
Parents need to know that Tales 4 Tomorrow is a lot like Webkinz, one of the first toy/Web site combos. The brand purports to be "green," but it's hard to ignore the fact that the business model includes the manufacturing and sales of toys. Overall safety seems to be good. There is no chatting on the site, but members can send preselected messages to other users, as long as they know each other's user names and have confirmed each other as friends.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about what “green” means. What are some ways that you can help the environment around you? Do you think buying a stuffed animal is a good way to help the environment? Tales 4 Tomorrow promises to donate 5% of its net profits to wildlife charities. Does that make you want to buy this product more?
