The good stuff

  • Educational value:

The extensive resource lists about youth organizations and education can help everyone from teens to teachers and policy makers to learn more and make connections with other youth advocates. Also, there's an entire free section of pdf "how to" files about youth involvement. Currently, you can sign a "Help Us Go" petition posted on the site to encourage the Obama Administration to pass legislation to increase financial aid for students from lower socioeconomic classes.
  • Messages:

This site uses media reports and youth-reported stories to get the word out about the good things kids are doing. It provides free resources and sells books about how to get youth more involved in their communities and their own education.

What to watch out for

  • Violence:

  • Sex:

  • Language:

  • Consumerism:

There's a store on the site for this non-profit organization's companion publishing house.
