Is It Any Good?
Covering everything from space to sports, WorldAlmanacforKids.com may not delve as deeply into each topic as some sites (check out NASA's Space Place for all things science, for example), but the breadth of information is so impressive that it will likely become a family favorite for fast fact-finding.
The game and quiz section is a little thin (basically Sudoku), and the graphics aren't particularly exciting (mostly photos), but it's so jammed with the kinds of tidbits kids love -- like the fact that only female mosquitoes can bite humans -- that tween users may just forget that there's no flash animation.
