What parents need to know

Parents need to know that although this site promises "yucky," it's really not all that bad. Both bugs and bodily fluids fascinate kids and this site delivers. Families who visit it will come away with a new appreciation of worms, roaches, and the mysterious (and often noisy) workings of the human body. There are no ads.

What's it about?

Wendell the Worm Reporter is your guide to the fascinating underground life of worms and worm-like creatures. Then come up for air and visit Roach World. Ralph Roach explains roach anatomy, amazing roach facts, and then takes you on a behind the scenes tour to A Day in the Life of a Roach. The yuckiest part of the yuckiest site is the "Gross and Cool Body" section. There you'll learn about "poop, dandruff, sweat, zits, ear wax, digestion, circulation, and more!" This whole section has audio "illustrations" with simulated flatulence and toilet flushing sounds. There's also a Yucky games area.

Is it any good?

Kids will love giggling at this yucky but harmless site.

What families can talk about

Families can talk about how many of the things we think are "gross" are actually very normal and serve an important function in the body. Parents of tweens and teens can talk about how advertising can make us feel embarrassed about sweating, getting zits, and other normal changes that occur during puberty. Which companies make money off of our embarrassment?

Uhhh...GROSS!!
This IS gross ! Hello ? I'm a girly girl...this was not my kind of entertainment. This is offically the yuckiest site, I clicked on the human body thing....and trust me if you didn't like to learn about growth and development at school, (because i know i didn't) then don't click that link! EHMAGOSH! And there are very very very detailed sentances about poop and pee, and earwax. Ohkay, first of all, just don't even go onto the website ohkay? Its just N-A-S-T-Y! *shudders*
