We are seeking a creative and dynamic team member for the Common Sense Education digital learning team. Our mission revolves around helping kids become tech-savvy learners, and we do so by helping K-12 schools and educators harness technology for learning. As the Education Content Producer, you will be assisting in the conceptualization, development, and design of our education products and programmatic initiatives, from start to finish, to support our community of over 150,000 (and growing!) educators.


As Education Content Producer, you will support the Education Team in their efforts to help schools integrate technology into the classrooms, encourage teachers to share and implement best practices, and prepare students for today’s digital world. Specifically, you will focus on the creation and delivery of content for all key stakeholders in the K-12 education space – administrators, teachers, parents, and students.


The Education Content Producer will:

  • Help conceptualize next stage products and programmatic initiatives around ed-tech integration for K-12 schools
  • Design, develop, and deliver turnkey content targeting all education stakeholders (administrators, teachers, parents, students)
  • Assist in outlining project briefs and workstreams and carrying out production timelines
  • Serve as content administrator by maintaining and updating our site’s curricular assets
  • Iterate on existing resources and assess content gaps in response to feedback from the field
  • Participate in all aspects of curricular video production with our Video team (script writing, storyboarding, editing)
  • Formulate content plans to work with third parties to cement strategic partnerships
  • Interface with all organization’s departments, from Development to Editorial to Product & Engineering
  • Help manage third party developers and contractors
  • Contribute to overall strategy when it comes to marketing and outreach plans around new products and programs



  • Experience within the K-12 education space (educator, publisher, developer)
  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in Education or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of trends in digital learning, assessment, and tech-forward schooling
  • Experience creating education-friendly content
  • Strong creative and technical writing skills, either in print or online
  • Ability to juggle multiple initiatives and overlapping timelines
  • Basic design skills (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, highly focused, highly productive environment



  • K-12 teaching experience
  • First-hand experience and knowledge about digital media and learning
  • Passion for instructional design and pedagogically-sound approaches in the K-12 space
  • Experience leading and working with teachers around professional development
  • Design thinking background
  • Web design skills
  • Articulate presentation skills for thought leadership opportunities (conference presentations and panels)
  • An eye for fine detail (copyediting!)
  • A proven self-starter and creative brainstormer
