What parents need to know
Parents need to know that Animal Planet: Trivia Challenge is a fun animal trivia game with diverse types of questions and multiple levels of difficulty. Each trivia round presents ten questions in multiple formats, such as responding to video clips and arranging animals in order (e.g. by habitat, North to South). Each question only gets 15 seconds, so kids will need strong reading skills to play, even at the easy level. High scores are saved and local multiplayer is available. Users can also use the OpenFeint or Game Center networks to share high scores, share their location and a photo, or connect to friends on Facebook or Twitter, but participation is optional.

What's it about?
In Animal Planet: Trivia Challenge, kids answer a variety of questions ranging from true or false questions to watching a video and answering multiple-choice questions. Each question is timed, and the faster kids answer, the more points they get. It’s pretty fast-paced, so kids need to have their game face ready. There are no hints or skipping options, but no points are taken off for getting an answer wrong. The app records top scores and game stats, and kids can challenge other players.
Is it any good?
ANIMAL PLANET TRIVIA CHALLENGE has a lot to offer young animal lovers. The trivia is interesting, the different levels provide something for everyone, and the multiple question formats keep you interested and engaged. The app would be even better if it provided more information about the animals or explanations to the questions and answers. We recommend playing together with younger kids until they understand how to answer the different question types. The app also comes with 10 close-up photos of popular animals; unfortunately, these can't be saved to your photos.
