A lot or a little?

Ease of Play

This is one sports game you don't have to know anything about. Just tilt the phone to make the football player run toward the goal line. Tap onscreen controls to make him spin and jump sideways to avoid tackles.

Violence & Scariness

Tackles can be brutal but your player always walks away.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this realistic football game is great for kids because it's so easy to play. Your player pops up unhurt no matter how gnarly the tackle. Parents should know that this game can connect to Facebook, so they might not want their kids to exercise that option.

Is it any good?

It might not be the NFL, but Backbreaker football is worth its 99 cents several times over. The object of the game is simple: score touchdowns by sprinting, juking, and spinning your way down the field in front of a roaring filled-to-capacity 3D stadium. The customizable player moves fluidly as he evades an increasingly hostile opposing team, with multi-angle instant replays. Three difficulty levels and 70 waves of increasingly difficult defenses will keep you in the game.
