Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Brickshooter Egypt HD is a "match three" puzzle game (meaning that you have to remove bricks from the gameboard by matching three like colors together), but with a unique play style. In this game, you choose which bricks to send onto the board, and they can come from top, bottom, left, or right. Before each move you make, you have to look at the options you have and think ahead to see how they might affect the game. It's challenging in a very fulfilling way.
Is it any good?
Many "match three" puzzle games appeal to casual gamers because you can play them almost on auto-pilot, but BRICKSHOOTER EGYPT HD requires a lot of real strategic thinking. In a chess-like way, you always need to envision what the gameboard will look like several steps ahead. It's the kind of challenge that makes you feel all the more excited when you beat the puzzle. The graphics and music are wonderful as well, making the experience all the more enjoyable. There are over 60 levels, set in five ancient Egyptian pyramids, so there's plenty of gameplay here (although the price still feels a little steep, compared to similar apps).
