Is It Any Good?
Based on the Catcha Mouse iPhone games, this iPad version brings the same rodent-trapping fun to the touchscreen tablet -- but with high-resolution graphics, new levels, and Game Center integration for global high-score boards, friend challenges, achievements, and more. CATCHA MOUSE HD challenges you to place mousetraps on a board to prevent a mouse from escaping through holes. You and the mouse take turns moving one step at a time, so you'll need to plan ahead to block the critter properly. If the mouse gets away, you'll have to repeat the level with a different tactic. Thirty levels are included with this free download, but a $.99-cent in-app purchase gives you Levels Pack 1. Problem is, you don't know how many levels are included. Other beefs: you're not graded on your performance, and there's no multiplayer option as there is with some of the iPhone versions. But it's hard to nitpick over a fun, free puzzler.
