Constitution for iPad

All the text, but nothing more.

What parents need to know

Ease of play

It's easy to look up articles and amendments from the menu, but the app is begging for a search box. The inability to type in a term you're looking for can make finding a specific clause or paragraph quite difficult if you don't already know what amendment it's in.

Drinking, drugs, & smoking

The 18th and 20th amendments are, of course, about the prohibition of alcohol and the consequent repeal of that rule.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Constitution for iPad will provide kids with an at-the-ready copy of the U.S. Constitution, should they need one for school or other pursuits. While there are notes on each section of the document, kids should not look to those notes for insights into better understanding the constitution or placing it in any kind of historical context.

Is it any good?

CONSTITUTION FOR IPAD is a nice reference tool to have if you need to look up which laws were defined by a certain amendment or when an amendment was ratified. You've got the entire text of the U.S. Constitution at your fingertips. Just don't look to this app as more than a reference tool, because there's really nothing here beyond the text of the document itself. As an app, the main thing missing here is searchability -- the Constitution is a long document to have to scan through if you're looking for a specific part.
