What’s It About?
In CURIOUS GEORGE AND THE FIREFIGHTERS BY I READ WITH, George goes on a field trip with a class and ends up riding along to a fire. The text is read aloud, and each page features a couple of interactive elements and a "living word" that comes to life to demonstrate its meaning. Kids can record their own voices reading the living words. The Read & Talk section is for parents and kids to enjoy the story together, giving parents questions to ask kids to deepen reading-comprehension skills. Kids then can retell the story in the theater.
Is It Any Good?
Curious George and the Firefighters by i Read With is a complete reading lesson for kids, including reading along, predicting, learning vocabulary, and checking for understanding. Parents don't need an education degree to sit with kids and help them develop reading skills -- i Read With puts it right on the device. The story is engaging with George and firefighters, two classic preschooler favorites. The theater may be the most exciting feature, giving kids the chance to create their own retelling of the story by moving the characters around and recording their own voices.
