What parents need to know

Ease of play

The game's physics are smooth and realistic, but a fair amount of motor control can be required for some of the trickier puzzles, including using multi-touch to cut more than one rope at the same time.

Is it any good?

CUT THE ROPE: HOLIDAY GIFT is partly an advertisement for the original Cut the Rope game, but don't be turned off by that. The stocking cannons that it introduces are more than just a gimmick, and make for a whole new crop of wonderful physics-based challenges. Like past games, casual players can focus on getting the candy into the mouth of Om Nom (who now sports reindeer antlers), while advanced players can also try to collect all of the stars in each level.

Great App for Christmas!

My profile: Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift is the Christmas version of the famous app by Zepto Lab, Cut the Rope. Very good, just some bugs. No violence so appropriate for almost all ages. There is just consumerism because there are pushes to play the original game, plus ads for an app called Pudding Monsters. Great game.
What other families should know
Easy to play/use
Too much consumerism
