What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Dinosaurs: The American Museum of Natural History Collection offers an informative database of dino-related trivia for kids to explore. While there is nothing inappropriate for kids under 8 (barring the occasional scary T-Rex), there's a lot of specific and technical-sounding information which could go over the heads of younger kids. The language used is not that of a children's book, but like the placards you'd find in a museum.

Is it any good?

You won't find info on every thunder lizard in DINOSAURS: THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY COLLECTION, but when it comes to the dinos it does feature, you'll probably learn everything you could ever imagine. In addition to the "story" collection, you also have an amazing, huge mosaic of dino-related photos -- each little thumbnail of which can be clicked on for even more dino info.
