Great new way to interact with book app, but kind of short.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Dora and Diego's Vacation Adventure is an app-book adaptation of a Nick Jr television special. In it, Dora and Boots are heading off to meet up with Diego and Baby Jaguar for a camping vacation. Along the way, they meet and help other friends of theirs, all of whom are heading off on different types of trips. Kids learn that different situations call for different types of preparation and planning. On each page, kids will need to place character or props into the scene, matching their shapes to dotted outlines. Once in place, that character will become animated and further the story.

This is horrible. People all over the world throw the disc in the garbage. Haters gotta hate. Dora likes both Diego and Boots. Don't see them kiss.

Is it any good?

There's a great new interaction concept introduced in DORA AND DIEGO'S VACATION ADVENTURE. Kids place character "stickers" into the scenes to trigger animations. It's a fun new way for children to take part in the action (although there are also plenty of hidden hotspots that kids can simply tap to trigger an animation as well). The only real problem with this app is that, at eight pages, it feels rather short. Length notwithstanding, this is a really well-designed app. It looks great and plays great. Dora fans will love it.
