Complex scenes offer nice challenge in race to mountaintop.

What parents need to know

Educational value

Everest: Hidden Expedition wasn't created with educational intent, and we don't recommend it for learning.

Ease of play

The game is simple, but the iPhone version is tough on the eyes. In addition to finding objects that are often camouflaged, the list of to-be-found objects is in fairly small font. This is not as much of an issue on the HD versions.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Everest: Hidden Expedition is another great hidden object game by Big Fish Games. Like Amazon: Hidden Expedition and Titanic: Hidden Expedition, this one presents many scenes for searching along with great graphics and music. In Everest, you join other teams in a race to the top of Mount Everest, stopping in different geographical places to search for objects. The objects don't have much to do with the race, but present a nice mix of easy-to-find and well-hidden objects.

What's it about?

In Everest: Hidden Expedition, the faster you find the objects, the more ground you gain in the race. For the super-hidden objects, you can use the hint, which narrows down the location. After you use a hint, you have to wait for it to charge up again. There is also a two-player mode where you can compete to see who finds everything fastest in a scene that you've already unlocked in the race.

Is it any good?

QUALITY

Everest: Hidden Expedition is a fun game for those who love hidden-object adventures. The scenes themselves are complex and provide a good challenge for experienced object hunters. The theme of racing to the top of Mount Everest is loosely followed and does not drive the expedition as strongly as in other hidden-object games like Amazon: Hidden Expedition. But if the focus is the challenge of finding the objects, Everest: Hidden Expedition is as good as any of them.
