What parents need to know
Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that while Finger Physics doesn't aim to teach your kids about the laws of science, those laws are rather faithfully followed by the objects in the game. Blocks move and react to stimuli as they would in the real world, and as kids play with them, they can see the laws of physics in action. Finger Physics is essentially a game and science experiment rolled into one.
What's it about?
Ten help pages explain 10 different modes of play. Stage 1 begins with egg mode (other modes are peppered throughout the stages). Kids tap on dotted white blocks to make them disappear and allow the egg to fall. Geared blocks add the element of rotation, and gravity can sometimes flow up with gravity blocks. In lunar mode, kids drag and drop shapes to build the tallest structure they can. Kids can take challenges sequentially or hop to any unlocked challenge at any time.
Is it any good?
FINGER PHYSICS is an incredibly well made game app. Whether you're holding your breath, carefully stacking different shaped blocks, or knocking obstacles out of the way to guide a big block down to the screen's bottom, you're both exercising your knowledge of the laws of physics and having a heck of a lot of fun at the same time. New puzzles and levels are available to download in the future, giving Finger Physics the chance to be a very long-lived app on your iPhone.
