A Lot or a Little?
What you will—and won't—find in this app.
Ease of Play
Solving the puzzles can be difficult, but the gameplay itself is easy to learn -- the first few levels are tutorials showing an additional type of control each time. Since the sliding is controlled with the accelerometer, sometimes you can accidentally tip the iPhone when you don't intend to, but fortunately there is an undo button.
Violence & Scariness
If Floe gets caught under a sliding block, she flies up off the screen and then the game resets to the previous step.

Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Floe - Little Bear Needs Your Help is a clever puzzle game that can be quite challenging -- too difficult for most younger children despite the cutesy main character. Parents should also note that opting in to the Crystal network will introduce privacy issues.
Is It Any Good?
FLOE - A LITTLE BEAR NEEDS YOUR HELP is a puzzle game in which you help a little polar bear cross ice floes to find her mama. Each floe has a series of blocks, some that slide around and some that don't. By maneuvering Floe around the empty spaces and then tilting the iPhone, you can clear a path across the floe. The puzzles are delightfully tricky, and get progressively harder. You can win stars for solving the puzzle in the required number of slides, but you only need to get Floe across the ice to unlock the next level.
Floe is nicely designed, with sharp graphics and cute cut-scenes; however, due to the difficulty it may not be great for younger kids. For older kids and adults, it will present a nice challenge.
