This is a really well-designed tool that highlights the editing process for kids without automatically correcting their writing. The features available in Ginger Page - English Grammar & Spell Checker, Translator & Dictionary App fit the needs of most kids, and the easy-to-use interface makes it accessible to all learners. Also, the tools are easy to use in conjunction with one another and easy to access from the main screen without losing your writing. Since the dictionary and the thesaurus are purposefully limited to include words that are appropriate and typically accessible to younger users, profanity isn't included.

The only downside is that tutorials are posted within the app as YouTube videos, which means that even if a grown-up uses Guided Access to limit app activity for more easily distracted kids, they are able to search and view any (unfiltered) YouTube video from the tutorials tab. Grown-up supervision may be necessary for kids who are challenged to self-manage those kinds of distractions.
