What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Mandala Memory is a memory game much like other card-flipping games for children, and is appropriate for any age. However, because of the similarity of the patterns (particularly with the colors turned off) the game can be made quite challenging and may be more enjoyable for adults and older children.

Is It Any Good?
MANDALA MEMORY is a memory game where you flip two cards and look for a match, so it seems like a kids' game. However, the mandalas are intricate snowflake-like patterns and many of them are quite similar to each other, making the game a challenge. The game is appropriate for young kids, but can also be a Zen-like meditation game for adults. The mandalas are quite beautiful and are based on hand-cut mandalas by artist Zoe Keramea -- though they may be better appreciated on an iPad screen than on the small iPhone or iPod touch.
The game isn't especially innovative, but offers a decent alternative to kids' memory games. There are plenty of options for adjusting the size of the grid, turning colors on and off, and turning a timer on and off, so the difficulty level is easily adjusted.
