What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Marblenauts is a fun but challenging strategic puzzle game with no objectionable content. The goal is to get multiple different-colored marbles to roll down a maze-like obstacle course and land in a like-colored goal. This is achieved by placing and removing blocks throughout the path that the Marblenauts must take. Unlike some other cute puzzle game heroes, the Marblenauts cannot "die" -- they merely get stuck in an unwinnable position if you fail the level.

Is It Any Good?
The graphics on MARBLENAUTS have an unfortunately dated look, but don't let that give you the wrong impression -- the game itself feels very fresh and original. It's one of those puzzlers that may have you pondering a level for quite some time, going through several trial-and-error attempts before finally discovering the solution. But once you succeed, victory tastes that much sweeter. And while it's challenging, the basic strategies of the game are simple enough for younger kids to understand, and ultimately kids and parents could team up to puzzle out solutions together.
