What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Maze For Kids is a coloring book app with 10 black-and-white mazes shaped like various animals. Kids can hone their spatial skills by drawing a line from the start of the maze to the goal at the other end, or simply color in the pictures. There's also a blank white page for doodling, and a second mode lets them lead a character through the maze by tapping the screen.

Is it any good?

MAZE FOR KIDS offers kids a range of different things to do. The coloring book section lets kids adjust the thickness of the paintbrush, and even create a customized color palette by choosing colors from a large grid or even adjusting RGB values (parents will probably need to help with this). Mazes can be saved and continued later, and drawings can be saved to the device or shared via email and printed. It would be nice to see more than 10 drawings to interact with, but aside from that the app is fun and well-designed.
