A lot or a little?

The parents' guide to what's in this app.

Ease of Play

The amount of detail and realism means there's a lot to learn, but the controls are arranged so that two buttons do everything -- a simplified process which works pretty well. When playing defense, though, the game will automatically switch you to the player who is closest to the ball -- a feature meant to make things easier, but which can sometimes mess up your plans.

Violence & Scariness

Players can foul by sliding into one another.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is a very thorough, detailed, and realistic soccer sim, which is loaded with tons of real European teams, but no American team. Any player who is not bothered by that will find a very nice, immersive soccer experience.

Is it any good?

People who love soccer should also love PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2010. The gaming experience it provides is realistically detailed with loads of managerial-type choices to make before you even get onto the field. It may not be novice-friendly, but soccer game veterans or real-world fans of the sport will appreciate the amount of choice and control that is offered. Graphically speaking, this is a beautifully rendered game.
