Is It Any Good?
QUIBBLE KIDS appears to be a very simple game at first: The child is presented with four cubes, and can turn them left and right to see additional faces. When the four faces match, they are brought together to show a match, darkened to show they've been used, and then the child continues to match the other faces. The match can be as simple as finding four butterflies, or more complex like finding four pets. Additional puzzle packs can be purchased, with free previews included. These new packs include math puzzles, words to put into categories like "Constellations" or "Presidents," or identifying animals from short descriptions. The free puzzles are best for younger children, but the additional puzzle packs would be great for older kids.
When a match is found, a child's voice reads the description, but the pronunciation isn't great and it might have been better with an adult or an older child. Other than that, the app is a nice idea and teaches categorization skills.
