Ease of Play
The rules and controls couldn't be any easier. The challenge level does steadily increase, though, as you move to higher and higher levels.
Violence & Scariness
The "splodes," which look like dustballs with faces, are technically exploding, but when they do, it's nothing more than a puff of colored light and sweetly tinkling music.

Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Splode is a lovely, artistic, musical arcade game in which players must bring daylight to a nighttime world by popping little magical dustballs called splodes. The strategy element of the game lies in popping your first splode so that it sets off a chain reaction to pop as many others as possible. Each exploding dustball brings with it a little more sunlight.
Is It Any Good?
SPLODE is not only a fun, strategic arcade game; it's also incredibly beautiful to behold. The twilight-hued nighttime scenes are lovely to begin with, and watching the daylight burst into existence as you play is even more visually arresting. Making the whole experience even more appealing is the music: As each splode pops, it creates a twinkling of piano keys, so that each chain reaction of bursting splodes sounds like a song. When you put the look, sound, and fun factor together, you get a total package that is really quite remarkable.
Did we miss something on diversity?
