What’s It About?
TALES2GO is a subscription service that offers more than 2,500 children's audiobook titles, including both classics and modern kid lit. After a free trial month, subscriptions are $9.99 a month or $99.00 for a year. During the trial, kids have access to all of the titles, including popular chapter books and children's books. The titles appeal to kids from preschool to sixth grade. Books are searchable by title or author, or can be perused by category. Parenting books and classics are available for parents, too.
Is It Any Good?
Tales2Go may be a pricier app once your free trial is over, but as an entertainment service, it certainly offers a ton of content for the money. There are (at the time of this review) more 1,600 audiobooks available through the app, and while many are short tales you may never have heard of, there are also big bestsellers like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and How to Train Your Dragon. The app has a simple, easy-to-use interface and offers a slew of different search parameters. If an audiobook service is what your kids are looking for, Tales2Go should fit the bill nicely.
