Best app on my iPhone!

Tales2Go has transformed how my children consume media. They now have very little screen time, b/c listening to stories is as entertaining. Plus, they can have unlimited story time ... in the car, in the bathtub, etc. Their vocabularies have been greatly enriched, as has their cultural literacy, as Tales2Go has many fables, classics, myths, etc. It is well worth every penny ... just think about how expensive it is to take two children to the movies vs. endless hours of listening to wonderful stories. This app makes audio books easy and uncomplicated. I hated schlepping to the library to find something within the limited selection. I hated even more the high price of audio books on Amazon. We listen in the car all the time, and now kids in the carpool will ask for specific stories. It's fun for me, too, b/c we can discuss the stories afterwards. In fact, after listening to How To Train Your Dragon, we had a fantastic carpool discussion of what it means to be a hero. We never had a conversation like that after a movie!

Tales2Go may be a pricier app once your free trial is over, but as an entertainment service, it certainly offers a ton of content for the money. There are (at the time of this review) more 1,600 audiobooks available through the app, and while many are short tales you may never have heard of, there are also big bestsellers like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and How to Train Your Dragon. The app has a simple, easy-to-use interface and offers a slew of different search parameters. If an audiobook service is what your kids are looking for, Tales2Go should fit the bill nicely.
