Free shape-swapping puzzle game; paid add-ons not worth it.
A Lot or a Little?
What you will—and won't—find in this app.
Ease of Play
The puzzles are easy to manipulate but can be challenging to solve in the fewest number of moves. It's often difficult to tell the orientation of the picture, which means it'll take more moves to solve. The menu screens aren't well-designed; moving from a puzzle back to the main menu takes many more steps than it should.
Products & Purchases
The app is free and comes with three puzzle packs (12 puzzles in each); additional puzzle packs or extra hints cost $.99 to $1.99. Also, various links from the main menu take you to the developer's other apps, their website, Twitter feed, and so on.
Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Tappi Adventures is a clunky picture-puzzle game that comes with 36 puzzles. Additional puzzles and hints are sold in the app, which could make this free app relatively expensive. There are several links from the app to various websites, so parents may want to monitor their children while playing.

Is It Any Good?
TAPPI ADVENTURES is a puzzle game that challenges the player to put a picture back together by swapping two pieces at a time. The pictures are divided up into repeated geometric shapes (such as rectangles or triangles). The concept is nice, but because all of the digital images are made up of geometric drawings and stick figures, it's often difficult to tell which way is supposed to be up for a particular piece — whether that's part of the challenge isn't clear. When the puzzle is completed, the player is rewarded with a quote from Tappi, the stick-figure mascot. Some of these quotes have poor grammar. With 36 puzzles included in the free app and more puzzles and hint packs as $.99 add-ons, Tappi Adventures could quickly add up to a $5 app. However, the amateur graphics and clunky interface aren't really worth much more than checking out the free version.
