What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that this movie-based app game, The Last Airbender, features images from the film and facts about its characters, but that the gameplay is only vaguely based on the movie's concepts. The player and his or her opponent toss elemental attacks back and forth at each other in snowball-fight fashion. These attacks are fireballs, tornadoes, etc., and they will break down a rival's defenses if they hit.

Is It Any Good?
This app game based on the live-action movie THE LAST AIRBENDER takes the film's concept of four warring elemental kingdoms (earth, air, fire, and water), and uses it to create something akin to a fantasy food fight. Players whip up tornadoes or ice storms and throw them at the enemy's fortress, trying to knock it down, while at the same time, defending the player's own castle. It's diverting and relatively harmless. Airbender fans will enjoy the loads of movie trivia tossed in, but parents should be aware that this app functions as a mini-advertisement for the TV and movie franchise.
