Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue - A Magical Adventure
What parents need to know
Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue - A Magical Adventure is a shortened version of the movie with simple interactive elements. There are some scary scenes, such as the fairies being chased by a cat, but the fairies always find resourceful ways out of their binds. Preschoolers can tap to turn pages and will enjoy blowing into the microphone to send fairy dust across the screen, but the text is beyond their reading level. You can record yourself reading the text in place of the narrator. The menu button, available on all of the pages, includes ads for more games and a link to sign up for an email newsletter.
Is it any good?
In TINKER BELL AND THE GREAT FAIRY RESCUE - A MAGICAL ADVENTURE, most of the pages offer some simple interactive parts, including portions of the pictures rocking back and forth or rain pelting the screen. What is cooler is the neat microphone-based interactive elements in this book that will engage and excite young readers. It's also great to be able to record and hear your voice against the music, and blowing fairy dust is undeniably fun! This abridged version of the story makes some of the lessons about determination and friendship a bit abrupt, but it is still enjoyable.
