Wheel of Fortune App Poster Image

Wheel of Fortune

Pricey game show adaptation fun for hardcore fans.

What parents need to know

Ease of play

Kids who've never seen "Wheel" will be confused by the multitude of special rounds and wedges described in the tutorial. Better to just jump in and start spinning. You have to type in puzzle answers, which could trip younger kids up.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that this enjoyable game is a faithful rendition of the family-oriented TV show. There are virtual prizes aplenty to lust after, but nothing inappropriate for kids.

Is it any good?

At five bucks, the Wheel of Fortune will seem pricey to non-fans. The graphics are a little dodgy in places and you have to play two built-in opponents. A really great adult "Wheel" would have online matchups instead. But that's what makes the game a good choice for kids. It's completely self-contained and safe - and there are 1,000 puzzles to solve at three difficulty levels. Parents - and hardcore fans - can consider it a deal.
