This film is great imagery of a young independent girl navigating the world on her own. Miyazaki is great at portraying strong young females and I am thrilled that they will be playing his films on the big screen--they should be out there and I look forward to taking both my daughters to finally enjoy them on the big screen.

We haven't actually seen this one yet, but would love to! My kids love Spirited Away and Castle In the Sky, and I know this one would become a favorite, too.

Kiki's Delivery Service was the film Studio Ghilbi film we saw as a family. What is there not to enjoy? A young witch who flies on a broomstick, a talking cat, and a best friend who is understanding make the world of Kiki a delight!

The attention to tiny details is what makes this film our most beloved of Miyazaki's formidable output. A child clumsily removing her shoes before entering the house. The physics of broom riding on a windy hill. The utterly lived-in 'witch culture'. And oh! her just-slightly-sassy cat. It's pace is gentle, but never slow. In fact, Kiki seems to hold the attention of younger viewers better than the mercilessly fast-cut Hollywood films aimed at them. A true gem.

We are also huge fans of many of Hayao Miyazaki movies and associated books, and although we each have our own favorite, my 8-year old daughter has loved Kiki the best. She enjoys Kiki so much because "Kiki is funny, kind, and brave, and Kiki likes to help other people. Jiji is cute and funny and willing to help Kiki whenever she needs it. Tombo is silly when he's trying to get Kiki's attention." It is a frequently shown movie in our house!

Kiki's Delivery Service has been a family favorite since my two adult daughters were children back in the 1990's! In fact, a couple of days ago my Mother, their Grandmother just went with us to the movies, she noticed the GHIBLI Fest posters and was so excited to see Kiki! My younger children were talking all about how much they liked that movie as well. The inspiration to follow your innate talents, to know that life unfolds and provides as we follow our hearts desire, that there are good helpful people all around the world ready to enrich and assist us in our life pursuits is fantastic! We are looking forward to this years Fest and what more GHIBLI will bring into our lives to inspire! Thank you! ☺

My husband and I have four adopted children, 2 boys and 2 girls, Kiki is a movie that we all could watch and enjoy. It's got something for everyone. AND it shows a strong female characters learning about the ups and downs of life and taking responsibility for your own life. Now that's self-determination!

We are long time Studio Ghibli fans. When my husband was in Japan last year we made him go to a Studio Ghibli store to bring back some souvenirs. My daughter once dressed up as Kiki!

Kiki's Delivery Service is my family's favorite movie! My daughters, ages 5 and 3, love the story, the art, the music, and the characters! We love its empowering message about staying true to one's passions and doing the right thing despite the difficulties.
