What's the story?

Kitty Cat is off to school, and the day holds a number of exciting activities: napping, eating, playing, drawing, and counting, all culminating in his getting picked up by his mother.

Is it any good?

KITTY CAT, KITTY CAT, ARE YOU GOING TO SCHOOL? is a simple, fun book written by Bill Martin Jr. and Michael Sampson, with illustrations by Laura J. Bryant, that fosters enthusiasm for education and socializing at the preschool or kindergarten level. It works for kids who already enjoy school, or could help ease anxiety for those who are more reluctant or fearful about it.

The rhyming text and expressive watercolor and colored pencil illustrations add to the storytelling. The soft, reassuring pastels look quaint and old-fashioned,  which really fits the sweetness of the book.
