Excellent book. However There's assassinations, and some characters drink but nothing is ever too gory. 10 + overall.

Awesome series- engaging, interesting characters work well in conjunction with a plot that keeps you turning the pages. Dialogue is smooth and well-written and each character has their own style of talking. While there is gore, it is not excessive and should be ok unless you have a blood phobia. Interesting backstory is woven in and sometimes comes back to haunt them. Riley's account of Garrick's account (flashback inception) is gripping and my favorite part of the book- also one of the more gory parts. Chevie is a strong character who is not dependent on the males, but is not rude or condescending of them either. Riley is also a fairly original character with an interesting personality. The pair quickly develops a strong bond, but their is little indication of romance besides some teasing at the end. Overall, this is a great book for anyone who likes sci-fi, smooth-talking villains, and constant action and adventure.
